Requires two Move controllers OR the dualshock.
Don't you think that if Microsoft had any bones to throw to the core gamers, they would have shown SOMETHING? At E3!?!?
I do agree that Microsoft is very deliberately focusing on the casual crowd, but if they had something in the pipe for the core gamers anywhere near launch, they would have shown something. That crappy on-rails Star Wars game is the closest they showed (and this comes from a huge Star Wars fan).
About a year from now we might see some ...
But with GT5 having WRC, does anybody want this? Unless it's budget priced, why not go for the game that has more?
But by the same logic, you should be using inverted X axis, too. It's just a matter of preference. Like I said, I think of it the same way that you do, but others do think of it as up=up. I just say it because you came across to me as slightly hostile toward people who use regular. If I misinterpreted, I apologize.
Also, long before I ever played an FPS, i played a flight sim. Inverted just made more sense then for games with a similar perspective.
This slim model was a really good move for Microsoft, but it's not exactly innovative. They put in a bigger hard drive, wi-fi, and reduced the risk of the hardware failing. Good? Yes. Innovative? Not to my view.
The 3 year warranty was because of the RRoD. The slim model supposedly eliminates that problem by shutting down before the system sustains permanent damage. You may not feel it's worth upgrading, but the slim is probably safer in the long run.
Regenerating "health" represents your luck. Run out in the open and you'll get some close calls, then you duck into cover, collect yourself, and you can run back out again. Stay out in the open or in one spot too long, though, and your luck runs out and someone gets that fatal hit on you. I used to hate regenerating health because it's extremely unrealistic, but then Uncharted somehow made me think of it that way instead. I suppose because Drake seems to get by on his lu...
You don't just get this month's stuff, you get that, then every month you get more, and you get to keep all of it for as long as your subscription is going. For the last month of a one year subscription, you could conceivably have 48 free games on your hard drive, a bunch of themes and avatars, plus have gotten discounts on more. Then you can renew and get more.
With Move coming out, the PSEye will become much more common. They could have re-issued this game and gotten more sales since people will have additional reasons to own the camera now.
I doubt it will be bundled with Move, but it will be available in a "Move Edition" that doesn't require downloading the patch. I have seen the box art for it. If you are connected to the internet, the patch will be free for the original version, though.
Even with the "best" ending, you miss out on most of what the game offers. In my opinion, some of the best endings where some of the "worst" endings.
I got the platinum on this game, and I cannot wait to play it again with Move.
Is he a step backward for the human race?
Or is it unfair to judge him based on the standards of something he isn't?
Heavy Rain isn't trying to be an action game. It's not trying to be exciting. It is trying to be an immersing, engrossing experience with tension and drama. I think it succeeds greatly at what it tries to be.
I can certainly understand how people can think that. "Gandhi" and "Schindler's List" could be considered extremely boring movies, but they were incredible to the people who like them.
Heavy Rain isn't for everybody, and it doesn't try to be. Different people like different things. It doesn't mean the things I like are necessarily better than the things you like, it's just that I like them better.
Games have been moving forward along the same path for a long time, and will continue along that path. Heavy Rain opened up a new path heading in a new direction that, hopefully, more games will push further on.
The idea is that you give Sony $50, and they give you a bunch of free stuff that you probably wouldn't have paid for, along with discounts on other things that you might not otherwise have paid for. Then, they get $50 out of you instead of nothing.
Wipeout HD is a good example. It's an old enough game that most people who want it already bought it, but give it to people for free as part of a subscription service, and they'll bite.
PS+ is a reall...
The article just says that playstation has more followers on twitter and facebook, as in more people who want to keep updated with the official news. People above, though, are arguing over cross game chat and whether Sony fans or Microsoft fans have more friends.
I fully expect Sony to develop something like this, and I fully expect Microsoft to develop something like Move (or probably make a contract with a company called Sixense, which has developed a similar controller already).
The best motion control system would be one that combines both systems, the accuracy, speed, and buttons of Move with the option to use your body like Kinect. Imagine if EyePet could detect the people and jump up on their shoulders, for example.
Maybe it can track 2 active users at a time, but also keep track of up to 4 other people to quickly and easily switch the active users.
Guess this confirms that you can only play two players simultaneous, but who has room for four people flailing around at the same time anyway?
He is just saying that the console versions will be different than the PC version because of the different control systems (keyboard & mouse vs. controller).
"'Again, there’ll be differences between the PC version and the console versions,' he continued, 'by the simple nature of the input system and the experience.'"
